Sizzling sausages fundraiser

John shows how to sizzle a sausage

Last Saturday we held a fundraiser – a sausage sizzle at Bunnings. We would like to thank Georges Fish and Chips in Rosebud, Bakers Delight in Rosebud, Express Gourmet Pizza in Dromana, and Coles and Woolworths in Rosebud for their very generous donations of money and food items.

Also a big thank you to our volunteers John, Linda H (and family member, Cherie), Gillian (and familiy members, Richard and Brittany), Karen, Jenny, Gail, Norm, Julie, Val, Cathy, Sandra and Tom, and Angela for their wonderful help on the day.

Raising the bar

At Rosebud Community , we believe that our plots should be accessible to as many people as possible to enjoy the benefits of growing their own produce. In response to increased demand for raised garden beds from people whose disability prevents them from tending a ground plot, we have built three beautiful new raised beds and are raising eight existing ground plots.

We received a grant from the Mornington Peninsula Shire to cover part of the cost, and continue to fundraise for the balance. The project kicked off with a workshop, open to everyone in the community, on how to build your own raised garden bed. If you missed the workshop, you’ll find all information on our Workshops page.
